September and October were definitely busy months that flew by! Got back from NYC in the beginning of Sept, then hit up Edmonton, Sylvan Lake and Canmore. My good friend Michelle Thrush won a Gemini award for best lead actress in an ongoing series! Sooo proud of her! Her and I did a road trip up to Edmonton with Mr. Gemini to her wrap up party for her TV show Blackstone. Michelle is Native American and I am so proud of what she represents!

In October I also got to head over to Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii :-D What a great week it was! I was flown down to shoot a wedding. From off roading to the green sand beach to swimming with giant sea turtles, I was definitely given some awesome photo oppertunities!

August was an amazing month! Made a trip down to NYC to celebrate the launch of my friend Tiffany Bank's new television series. Ended up landing during an earthquake and then was trapped in Harlem during Hurricane Irene for three days. Thank God I was trapped with Tiffany and Emma Meyer (a Ford signed Old Navy model) for the entire weekend. Two amazing plus sized models and a fashion photographer stuck together during a deadly hurricane..may as well make the best of it and shoot! Tiffany Bank is a good friend of mine and is the star of TLC's new show Big Sexy, about plus sized women in the fashion industry. I was so grateful to stay with her for the week while her show launched. We attended an amazing launch party in Time Square with other outstanding plus sized women. I myself am plus sized and struggled with being made fun of while I was young, so this was something so special to be apart of! I am very proud of this girl and so happy to see how much media the show has be getting! From people magazine, to TMZ and Entertainment Tonight and The Today Show she is getting great exposure for both herself and big girls out there :-D

Party in Time Square for the launch of TLC's Big Sexy

While I was down in NYC I also had the chance to shoot with Kasia from last season of America's Next Top Model! This girl is a plus size in the fashion industry and what a gorgeous sweet heart she is! We had the chance to shoot at my good friend Mercura's studio in Manhattan. And of course used a few amazing Mercura NYC sunglass designs! Not to mention the crown they just designed for Jay-Z's throne tour! Oh and I also shot her in one of my upcoming tshirt designs. It was definitely a fun day. After the shoot we went out for dinner and then she came as my guest to the TLC party in Time Square :-D Keep an eye out for more shots coming soon!
